Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red. Enticing, but without the fresh precision of the very best of its peers and just a little cool and leafy compared to some. Pure, deep, curranty, and long; smooth-textured and satisfying, though I fancy there have been more ambitious Lafon-Rochets than this. | 88
Michael Schuster | Closed to smell, gravel and blackcurrant; full-bodied, fresh in acidity, finely firm in tannin; a deep, ripe, sappy flavor, long and complex to taste, mouthcoating, aromatic, and refined, all within a classically firm St-Estèphe texture, and with excellent persistence. A lovely, complete Lafon- Rochet. But, of course, needing time. 2028–40+. | 92
