Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Super substance with a gorgeous redcurrant nose and firm, thoroughbred tannins. The most seductive and harmonious wine to come out of this château in 20 years, and certain to rival Pontet-Canet for the title of best fifth growth of the vintage. 17.5
Michael Schuster: Dense, minerally nose with a touch of Merlot bell pepper at the moment; full, fresh, firmly tannic balance but with a good fruit core; long, close-knit combination of juiciness and aromatic minerality, flowing, quite complex, and with a long, spicy finish; quite powerful, but also fine. 2017–30. 16/16.5
