Andrew Jefford | Dark, dense black-red. Vivid, chunky fruits: sweet, sinewy, and fresh. Perfectly poised ripeness and judged oak, conveying both exuberance and classicism. On the palate, this brightly fruity, super-classical, tight-drawn wine has great depth, energy, drama, and assurance: plunging draughts of blackcurrant with ample, vivid acidity but also more tenderness and teasing ripeness than many of its peers. The fine fruits will see it last well, but there are also some supple supporting tannins here. Very complete and a perfect summary of the vintage’s qualities. | 93
Michael Schuster | Crisply blackcurrant nose, lightly oak- marked; medium-full wine, fresh in acidity, finely firm in tannin; crisply ripe, but also rich to taste, moderately complex, quite firm in texture and therefore needing time, but with good length. Fine mid-rank St-Julien. 2025–36+. | 90
