Andrew Jefford | Midnight black-red. Creamy, pure, and refined black fruits, with some dried orange-peel finesse. Very classy and enticing aromas: forthcoming and elegant. Limpid and deft on the palate, with very impressive aromatic finesse and overall purity. Fine fruit intensity and persistence, and some fine-grained tannins for structure, with the fruit acidity less lean and ungrateful than for many of its Margaux peers. I doubt this will be a bargain... but no one who bought it will be disappointed by this chic, svelte, and light-footed Margaux. | 91
Michael Schuster | Classy, lightly oak-tinged blackcurrant fruit to smell; fresh, medium-full wine, very fine in tannin texture, beautifully balanced; sweet-cored wine of great finesse, very Margaux-delicate, with a lovely length of flavor and a fine aromatic persistence. A complete and stylish and very seductive second wine, brimming with class. Deliciously seductive now, decades in hand. Now to 2036+. | 93
