BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford | Saturated, deep black-red in color, with a purple sheen. Fresh, pure, curranty, and purposeful, without too much oak, and with ample Left-Bank classicism: ringing and pure. Excellent aromatic work here, creamy and enticing. Deep, full, broad, and serious on the palate, with less fruit energy than Potensac but more textured wealth; authoritative and will be long-lasting. Better than the 2010 Sociando (which I have at home). | 90

Michael Schuster | Dense, ripe red fruit and lightly oak-cedar- tinged nose; rich midweight, with a very fine oak- texture dry tannin; sweetly, freshly ripe fruit, quite subtle and complex, lightly gravelly, pure, and persistent. Its tannin will need time, but classically complete Sociando. 2026–36. | 90
