Andrew Jefford | Dark, dense black-red. Almost flamboyant for Pessac, with lots of creamy allure. Amply ripe fruits: blackberry and damson, with a lick of dark chocolate and brandysnap; the classic vegetal notes of Pessac behind have a composted complexity. Attractive and unusual. On the palate, there is ample fruited zest and wealth, singing from the glass. It has fewer bass notes, perhaps, than the aromatic profile suggested, and more energy, zing, and glide; the finish, indeed, is almost pungent. This is no bimbo or floozie, packed with merely superficial charms, but an original, lively and highly engaging reading of the vintage. | 90
Michael Schuster | Closed to smell, but freshly ripe fruit there; medium-full, fresh in acidity, very fine in tannin; pure, sweetly ripe flavor, long and subtle across the palate, vital all the time, and with fine, fragrant length. Accessible already, restrained, complete, delicious. 2024–36+. | 92
