Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red, no longer opaque, shading to a scarlet rim. Sweet and warm, with some oak in evidence; a little chocolate and Havana tobacco, too. Concentrated, deep, and exuberant fruits and very pure, too: cascading mulberry, plum, and bramble, with ripe pippy-vegetal notes at the end (the oak is less apparent on the palate than the nose). Fresh and wholesome. | 90

Michael Schuster | Sweet and oak-cedary nose; full, elegantly balanced in its fulsome style, fine and firm in tannin; sweet, intense, fine-grained, long and refined in flavor, long and fragrant to finish. Lovely. Power, but finesse, too. 2028–40+. | 92
