BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford | Dark, dense scarlet-red, and scarlet to the rim. Bottle 1: TCA. Bottle 2: Warm, lush, resonant, and rich, with lots of burnished plums. Rewarding. This is a wine that has some 2016-like freshness. Its ambitions are relatively modest, but it is shapely, round, vivacious, and has ample density and depth of fruit. A Good Buy. | 89

Michael Schuster | Still quite closed; full, fresh, firmly tannic in texture; sweetly ripe flavor framed by a firm tannin, of moderate complexity and nice, light length. The tannins mean that this will, ideally, need a few more years, and the firm (oak-dry) texture is likely to be part of the style always, but the abundance of ripe fruit will always make it an attractive proposition. 2024–34+. | 89
