Andrew Jefford | Dark, deep black-red. Warm, ripe, and beguiling, with lots of earthy fullness as well as the plum fruits, and some visceral Merlot-appeal, too: Beauregard always seems to deliver core Pomerol appeal in a very straightforward and easy-to-like way, and so in this vintage. There is some evolution there already, though, so this is unlikely to be a long keeper. The palate confirms all of that: broad, long, open, accessible, unforbidding and open-pored; great tannins, nonetheless, as well as very satisfactory ripeness, more-than-decent flesh and overall concentration. A very sound buy for the mid-term and probably the nearest Pomerol gets nowadays to a bargain. | 92
Michael Schuster | Lovely cassis-sweet nose; medium-full, elegantly balanced, fresh, moderately concentrated, currently slightly firm in tannin; a lovely, elegant Pomerol balance; sweet, juicy, refined flavor, long and close-grained to taste, long and gently cassis scented to finish. Needs a few years, plenty of promise. 2026–40+. | 91
