Michael Schuster | Quite dumb to smell but with, nonetheless, a clear, fragrant, ripe Cabernet fruit on the nose; a classically firm, fresh, medium-full wine with “traditional” St-Estèphe tannic sinew; firm, chewy, crisp Cabernet flavor of modest complexity and length. Sappy, sinewy, chewy, satisfying. Its slightly rustic, old-fashioned tannins notwithstanding, this will be very attractive early on with the right sort of fairly rich food. 2024–36+.
