Michael Schuster | Refined nose of blackcurrant Cabernet and subtle gravel impressions; concentrated, fairly full-bodied wine, fresh in acidity, firm but fine-textured in tannin; a crisply, juicily ripe blackcurrant fruit core, dense and finely gravelly in aromas, long and fine across the palate, and with a pronounced mineral-imbued length. Direct, linear, elegant, complete Lafon-Rochet, with very fine tannins and a lovely claret dryness of flavor. Classic, classy, red Bordeaux, an excellent follow on to the superb 2018, and most probably even finer. Complete and completely without excess. 2030–45+.
