Michael Schuster | Fresh, subtly gravelly, ripe Cabernet nose; rich midweight Pauillac, fresh in acidity, with a nice concentration and a finely firm tannin; classically gravel-aroma’d Cabernet flavor, long, savory, sinewy textured but without coarseness, very aromatic, very satisfying, and with excellent pebbly length. Slightly old-fashioned Pauillac, in the nicest sense. Its sinews notwithstanding, with rich-enough fare this will be a most attractive Pauillac proposition relatively early. 2025–40+.
