Michael Schuster | Reserved but Merlot-plummy, with a light cassis, and a light gravel element; rich, fresh in acidity, and lightly, finely tannic; elegant, very St-Julien in its restraint, crisply red-fruit ripe to taste, pure, linear, mineral-imbued, with a very nice length of flavor for a second wine, and with excellent Médoc gravelly length to finish. A particularly fine Fiefs (also the best to date?), which will also need a bit more time than usual. 2027–40+.
