BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster | Pale gold; fresh, fine, discreet primary- fruited Sauvignon. Very elegantly balanced, nicely concentrated midweight with lively acidity; dry, vital, aromatic wine, beautifully proportioned, long and fine, brimming with subtle Sauvignon perfume, gently vibrant across the palate and with great aromatic length to finish. Not a big wine, but benchmark dry white Bordeaux, restrained, refined, and complete. Beautiful, harmonious, classy, a great white Carbonnieux. All now bottled under Diam, thank goodness. Gorgeous wine. Just so fine, so subtly Sauvignon-scented and aromatic, so complete and utterly without excess. A dry white Bordeaux that moves me... relatively rare these days! If this is the final blend (I so hope it is), it is absolutely splendid! If you want an utterly delicious, benchmark example of dry white Bordeaux, at a comparatively affordable price, this is a wine to buy. 2022–32+.
