Michael Schuster | Dense, mineral-marked nose; rich, full, finely tannic, a very nice Bourgneuf balance; deep, rich, quitely sonorous, sinewy Pomerol, combining matter and finesse, ripeness without excess, and with an attractive, gently muscular tannic frame to its fruit, with none of the slight coarseness of texture that it has often had in the past, and with good length to finish. A complete Bourgneuf, with the gentle sinew of texture that its clayey soil next to Trotanoy would imply, but overall a very satisfying harmony. By someway the most successful Bourgneuf for many years. The best since its wreathed-in-smiles 2015, and some! 2032–50+.
