Michael Schuster | Plummy ripe-fruit nose; full-bodied, fresh in acidity, finely firm in tannin, the ample, yet not excessive, balance typical of many 2019s; sweet, juicy, succulent, full of immediate ripe blackberry and blueberry fruit appeal, gently fleshy within its lightly tannic frame, moderately complex, and with good fruit and gentle aromatic length. Very much the “fleshy” image of Pomerol, not grand, but good. Broach in 6-8 years, but likely with plenty of life. 2025–40+.
