BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Brilliant straw. Open, aromatic, complex, mineral nose, with lemon peel, fresh herbs, seawater, and passion fruit. Clean, mature palate, a touch simple on the finish.| 87

Andrew Jefford | Steel-white. And again, something new; this has a very gingery perfume, but there is jasmine and rose-petal, too: truly exotic and deliciously so. Lushly appealing. On the palate, there is some simple, plain apple/grapefruit fruit lent exoticism by these head-turning perfumes, which come from heaven knows where. Superficially attractive, but I’m not sure I completely trust the wine. | 87

Michael Palij | Curiously perfumed, with notes of cold tea and strawberry alongside candied fruit, Turkish delight, and musk. Seems almost as if it had something added to it. Nothing here to offer any interest. Short and simple. | 78
