Andrew Jefford | A pale sandy gold in color. Soft, savory, and nutty: a complex weave of aromas, though no fruits as such. The savory side is well developed, with sweet hay and grass compost aromas; something almost seaweedy, too, so some discreet umami. Vivid, bright, fresh, intense, and acidic on the palate, very pure and driving, with much less aromatic resonance than when smelled in the glass. Lively, fresh Vin Jaune marked by hay, lemon, and apple. Enticing. | 91
