Simon Field | Dense youthful purple, smudgy, traces of faint grapeskin residue on the side of the glass. The aromatic is appropriately youthful; scrub, pine resin, and blackberry skin, smoke and hints of Morello cherry. The more accessible side of Cairanne perks up the palate, the classically yet mannered generosity of the vintage holding court in one of its more rustic manifestations. No lack of appeal or potential for all that. | 87
Andrew Jefford | Very deep opaque black-red. Blackberry and burned-stone aromas, with some garrigue sweetness, too; even a little pippy raspberry. Sweet yet fresh and comely, with precise, perfumed fruits. An excellent aromatic profile. Poised, lively, shapely, and fresh, with ample tannins and gathered red fruits (rather than black). There are some nascent complexities that are beginning to show. An elegant, poised effort with a subtle aromatic weave that time will amplify further. | 90
David Williams | An open, appealing nose of raspberry jam- compote, and the palate is generous, too, with its pallet of soft ripe fruit, but not flamboyantly big. It’s kept in check with serious (and sensually attractive) tannic grip and a long finish. Chewy, satisfying. | 89
