BUY THE WINE

Simon Field | The first bottle is corked! The second bottle is incredibly powerful, cassis, damson, and bilberry all writ large and almost threatening to undermine any exegesis of a structural backdrop | 86

Andrew Jefford | Saturatedly deep black-red. Rich, perfumed, and exotic, with tar, camphor, resin, smashed plum, and pummeled blackberry, a kind of volcano of wine scent: another extraordinarily exciting wine to smell. Huge, concentrated, powerfully fruity, powerfully everything. A flat-out steamroller of a wine, and hugely entertaining. In the final analysis, the fruit qualities are a little simple, but for muscle, sinew, and heft—wow. | 89

David Williams | Enormous ripeness, big cherry cola richness, and fine-grained tannin. Is there just a little residual sugar here, too? Uninhibited, unreserved, and, in its way, impressive, but it’s tough for me to imagine drinking more than half a glass. | 88
