Simon Field | Modest, faintly luminous hue, cherry-red, but softer. The aromatic is reticent, and then the palate seems a little overworked, the apparently discrete structure perhaps lacking in concentration and almost a little stewed. | 86
Andrew Jefford | Pale, light, and translucent, just a little deeper than a deep rose. Sweet and warm on the nose, but lacking some focus. Not without complexity, however: satisfying. On the palate, this is very relaxed and secondary now, harmonious and smooth (though not deficient in tannin). Serious stuff, ultra-rich in many ways yet at the same time lively and gathered. Such a different approach to [the Clos Solene Harmonie, Linne Calodo Sticks and Stones, and Epoch Estate Wines Veracity, all Paso Robles] (yet we have seen this contrast throughout the tasting), but convincing for all that. Mellow, secondary yet serious and gastronomic. | 90
David Williams | A wine of competing elements that don’t seem to quite mesh: raspberry cream and milk chocolate. Chalky tannin, a touch of sweetness, and a slight rasp of alcohol. | 86
