Simon Field | Soft almost luminous color; the nose balsamic, hints of tar and roses, cream and graphite— dissipated, in other words, hopefully not too ambitious of structure. The palate, unfortunately, confirms one’s suspicions, black tea, a little stewed with charm hardly at a premium. Oddly hot on the finish; an unusual construct. | 84
Andrew Jefford | Very light in color: translucent pale red. Simple, grassy scents: some ripeness issues here. Slender, sweet yet unresonant wine, with a coarse grain to it, which may again hark back to mixed ripeness or rough handling. | 79
David Williams | Something of Pinot here: certainly, the fragrant red-fruited nose is a dead-ringer. The palate has a more herbal lilt, sprinkles of white pepper, too, and a concentration of macerated strawberry, but with an agile, supple, light- footedness. The finish builds in volume and spicy intensity. | 92
