BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Golden to straw. Open and mature yellow- fruit nose, with cooked apples, apricot jam, and a nutty character. Mature palate, slightly overripe on the finish. | 85

Andrew Jefford | Much deeper in color than its peers, though only a year older: a light full gold. Rather weighty aromas, which suggest some oxidation. Heavy and a little bit oily on the palate. Nonetheless, the wine is concentrated, dense, and persistent. Classical studied neutrality, with some extra weight and drive. | 86

Michael Palij | The medium-gold color is worrying for a 2016 white, though there is more depth of flavor here, with toffee, ripe apple, tinned peaches, and conference pear. The palate remains obstinately one-dimensional, however, and—given the color— this is unlikely to develop positively. | 80
