Neil Beckett | A blend from different parcels around the village, including one at the foot of premier cru Cazetiers. Deep ruby, hinting at the concentration in the grapes, from even lower yields than usual. A lovely nose, with only positive signs of the 100% whole-bunch fermentation that is one of the distinguishing features of the house: floral, kirsch, very lightly peppery and spicy. A gratifying close-knit texture, already almost velvety, ripe but not at all sluggish, and it remains succulent throughout. An outstanding village wine from what many regard as the most successful village in the vintage. | 90
