Neil Beckett | A characterful, expressive wine from a parcel with lightish soil (on the site of a former quarry) below grand cru Mazis-Bas. Deep ruby. A lightly reductive nose (barrel sample) but the purity of the freshly ripe red and black fruit still shines through. Very elegant, refined, and silky, with good definition and tension, taut rather than tight, dry but not at all drying, the finesse already showing on the finish.| 91
