Neil Beckett | Lustrous mid-ruby. An arresting scent: darkly fruited, ripe, but with proper mineral rigor as well as softening spice. Sweet-fruited, silky, and succulent, but persistent, too, with plenty of fine-grained, supportive tannins, which act like ball-bearings and allow the rest of the wine to glide effortlessly on top. Clear cru identity, but a very accessible, elegant, and seductive expression of it. | 93–94
