BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford: Deep clear garnet-red. An unlovely scent combining grassiness with an estery quality. The palate is deep, concentrated, and dense, so there is certainly ambition and effort here but some vinificatory mishap means that the aromatic profile is compromised throughout. A shame, as the raw materials were excellent. Still drinkable. | 82

Jasper Morris: The full color is starting to show maturity and the bouquet is not as fresh as it might be. This shows through on the palate, with dark fruit and a drying finish. By no means dead but drink up. | 80

Catherine Petrie: A medium-deep crimson. Dark and peppery on the nose, this feels a little muddled. The dark fruit feels charred, perhaps by some oak. The palate does have an enjoyable fruit sweetness, but there is an acrid note on the finish. Fades in the glass.| 80
