BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Garnet to pink rim. Intense, elegant, complex red-fruits nose, with blood oranges, minerals, roses, and violets, sweet tobacco and hints of oriental spices. Medium to full body, with sweet red-fruit palate, big yet super-elegant tannins and long, mineral finish. | 94

Andrew Jefford | Clear, dark though translucent black-red. Warm, almost brassy scents of Christmas-spiced fruits: evidently attractive. The rather dumpy palate perhaps a little less so. No great finesse here, but there is generosity and I like generosity. The soft-contoured tannins are also slightly more prominent than acidity, which is something else I like. Delicious drinking. | 88

Michael Palij | Although less generous on the nose than many, this shows a typical mix of blackberry, red cherry, plum, and olive. On the palate, the wine has very subtle tannins which create a welcome and rare opportunity to see the acidity balance the complex fruit. This has structure and concentration without recourse to oak. Superb. | 96
