BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Garnet to tawny. Mature and clean yet a touch simple on the nose, with small red fruits, leather, and a prominent herbal character. Medium body, a touch developed, with some length. | 89

Andrew Jefford | Pale, clear, and translucent. Refined fruits sing out of the glass here, very attractively sustained and defined; pomegranate, red apple and red currant, with a creamy undertow and some dry-grass finesse. A touch dry on the palate, with the tannins just nipping together as the palate opens, yet this wine has much better depth than many, with delicious ripeness, and the longer it stays in the mouth, the more harmony it acquires. A sound effort overall, with plenty to enjoy. | 88

Michael Palij | Pronounced intensity, with a red-fruit core of cherry and strawberry here overlaid with sultana, black olive, kirsch, and pepper. The palate shows generosity of fruit, with high alcohol leading the charge. This is an enjoyable but one-dimensional wine, with ripe fruit, warming alcohol, but little complexity. | 87
