Bruno Besa | Garnet to tawny. Open, clean black and red fruit, with black tea, bergamot, orange peel, sage, and hazelnuts. Medium to full body, with complex fruit, exuberant yet refined tannins, and a long, clean finish. Complex wine, with aging potential. | 93
Andrew Jefford | Clear, bright, and translucent dark red. Sweet-scented, yet a little grassy, too: surely some mixed ripeness here. Not quite pristine. Slender and light on the palate. Perfectly satisfactory as a Nebbiolo, and enjoyable to drink, but for me not quite worthy as a Barolo. | 82
Michael Palij | There are occasions when the wood regime threatens to sweep away everything in its path. This has lashings of sweet vanilla and cedar allied to the dense black cherry and stewed plum but neither can surmount the horrendous level of tannins that dominate this wine. One-dimensional and utterly dominated by the structure. | 83
