Bruno Besa | Pale straw with green highlights. Clean, elegant, complex, mineral nose, with fresh herbs, sage, mint, pine needles, yellow and green fruits, and hints of crushed stones. Clean palate, slightly simple fruit yet long and mineral. | 90
Andrew Jefford | Very pale: silver-green rather than any gold at all. Very clean aromas but without, happily, the chemical pungency that can take the shine off “clean” here. Some cream and almond; pristine and pure. Zesty and light, with ample white-almond richness; very little overt fruit, by contrast. I rather like this style and would find this a delicious, supremely drinkable Friulano. | 88
Michael Palij | Attractive nose, showing a broad spectrum of herbaceous (green tea, mint), nut (cashew and almond), and fruit (Cox apples, white peach) notes. Brisk acidity and real concentration takes this up a gear. Possibly some old oak adding complexity and richness, but the combination of low yields and reductive handling have created a beautifully crafted wine. | 89
