Bruno Besa | Pale straw with green highlights. Open, floral nose, with some complexity, lemon peel, and fresh herbs. Intense citrus palate, with a clean, moderate finish. | 87
Andrew Jefford | Steel-white with a dash of green. Gassy, sappy, and fresh: you might almost guess this was Friulano. Pretty enough, but I can’t find much varietal handle to grab on to. Zesty and zippy on the palate, and jumping with green-pea freshness. Some well-judged spritz. Delicious wine for tossing back by the bumper, though not a fine or ambitious Ribolla. | 88
Michael Palij | Floral notes of iris, peony, rose, and Turkish Delight join the classic stone-fruit character of red apple and peach. On the finish, there is walnut, cashew, and mandarin, together with smoky notes of musk and cold ash. The palate shows a bitter note of grapefruit pith, which suggest this wine will not develop further. | 84
