BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Pale straw, green tones. A touch closed, with white fruits and minerals, apple seeds, and hints of camomile and crushed stones. Restrained and layered palate, with complex white and yellow fruits and a clear, mineral finish. | 90

Andrew Jefford | Pale gold. A little free sulfur here, and rather less fruit-scented than the best of its peers— though attractively doughy. Quietly aromatic. Coffee and hazels after a while. Rather a sinewy palate, again with coffee and hazel and some chicory, too; characterful and intense. | 85

Michael Palij | Rich nose, a textured white, with stone fruit alongside the tell-tale nuttiness. The finish is soft and warming, with notes of cinnamon and candied ginger. Appealing but lacking complexity. | 84
