Essi Avellan: Medium-deep lemon. Some complex pastry and baked-apple notes on the evolving nose. Lovely toast and spice, too. Viscous, soft, mellow palate. Rather sweet back-palate. | 88

Simon Field: Buckwheat color, small bubbles which are disinclined to linger; a barley-sugar sweetness undermines the edifice; saccharine and trust, with not much of the latter. | 86

Tom Stevenson: Ah, this is Meunier! It is not the best wine so far, but it does have the most typicity (floral edging onto red berry) and therefore offers the best potential, if this direction is maintained and things are tightened up along the way. | 91
