BUY THE WINE

Essi Avellan: Medium-deep lemon-gold color. one-dimensional appley nose with oxidative tones. Full, rich palate, with intense fruitiness leading to a really dry finish. | 85

Simon Field: Deep color, maybe a little hazy, but an impressive nose—stone fruits, peaches and dried apricots—and an inference of reserve wine. Thereafter, things fall apart a little, and the anxiety provoked by the initial lack of clarity colludes with an undistinguished and unresolved palate. | 85

Tom Stevenson: Volatile oak, a touch of freshness and barley sugar on the finish. This is becoming formulaic. | 79
