Andrew Jefford | Deep black-red though not opaque. The 2015 Carillon has an admirable aromatic profile: milky ripe fruits with some leather and vellum complexity. Much less aromatically simple than most Right Bank second wines in this vintage. In the mouth, it is deep, principally fruity though none the worse for that, with lively, vibrant, fresh plum and sloe; just a touch of ripe dessert apple. Beautifully crafted wine, which already suggests some selectivity to me. | 90
Michael Schuster | A refined, ripe-fruited, gently oak-cedary nose; full-bodied, finely tannic, nicely balanced in an ample way; sweet and juicy to taste, some finesse, lightly aromatic, with a nice length of flavor and aftertaste. A very nice second wine. Accessible early, but no hurry. 2020–30+ | 90
