Andrew Jefford | Deep, dark black-red. Earthy, frank, and fresh aromas with less evident aromatic ripeness in 2015 than for many of its appellation peers and a little less allusive focus, too, but attractive withal. The palate is very Pomerol, with its mass of plump-thighed blackberry and plum fruit. There’s just a touch of agreeable burned raisin sweet- bitterness to lend the fruits a little dignity. The tannins are soft, and it is not notably concentrated. A short-term glugger from a great terroir, and totally delicious. | 86
Michael Schuster | A fine, sweet, persistent, herbal tinged, but cassisy early bouquet; very nicely balanced medium-full wine, fresh and finely tannic; succulent and juicily ripe in fruit, warm, fresh, spicy, complex, long, and most satisfying to taste, and with excellent length of aftertaste, too. A lovely, long-term Beauregard, of course in the year’s slightly more powerful style. You could drink this with pleasure already, with really tasty fare—there is so much fruit—but it will better reward patience. 2024–35+. | 92
