Michael Schuster | Deliciously fresh, citrus-zest and honey nose, pure, subtle, persistent; rich, fresh, elegant, exquisitely balanced. Intensely sweet, long, racy, graceful wine, with a scintillating complexity, a silky smooth texture, great length across the palate, and great mouth-coating aromatic persistence. A most complete, restrained, utterly aristocratic and wonderful Yquem, very much in the mold of this superb Sauternes year. I can’t remember enjoying a young Yquem as much as this since the 2001, but this is somehow lighter on its feet. A shimmeringly enticing, vital delight. Flirts with perfection. Fabulous right now and for decades to come. | 98–99
