BUY THE WINE

Essi Avellan | Mature orange-gold color. Dusty nose, with modest fruitiness, dried fruits, orange blossom, and beeswax. Mature palate, with soft, energetic mousse left. Some fruit persisting but the evolution has not been only positive. Now past its peak. | 86

Alex Hunt | Dull amber color, and a very muted aroma, not decayed as such, but dusty and small-scale. The palate, too, has not fallen apart, but it lacks acidity and spark. Rather heavy and simple. | 82

Tom Stevenson | It is old and it tastes old, but not as bad as some. Intense fruit, but just has those niggling qualities that leave me disappointed. | 81
