Neil Beckett: Pale, lemon-gold. A much more exotic nose than the Chevalier tout court, with aromas of pear and quince: unusually rich and ripe. Round and smooth on the palate, but still supremely silky, with a long, strong finish. More dramatic and original than its brother in arms, if slightly less typical. 18
