Jamie Goode | This is a dense, ripe wine with luscious blackberry and blackcurrant fruit. It’s layered and mouth-filling, with a savory, spicy blackcurrant- bud character. There’s a wall of flavor here, with lots of everything, but it manages to retain a sense of freshness and balance. Ripe and seductive, but with the structure to mean it should develop nicely in the mid-term. | 93
Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red with some opacity. Slightly strange if not unattractive aromas of sweet biscuit and fenugreek; oak, too. The oak is slightly raw here. Deep, intense, sweet, voluminous, and concentrated: a very impressive wine and successful on its own terms, with ample concentration, plus balanced acidity and supporting tannins; long finish packed with driving blackcurrant and plum, and with some pencilly finesse. A finer aromatic profile would have won a higher score. | 89
David Williams | Ripe and bright, hyper-concentrated and dense, with sweet oak and alcohol in full bruising effect, and cherry-cola flavors. | 85
