BUY THE WINE

Essi Avellan | Attractive, ripe, apricotty nose, with marmalade and pastry tones and the gentlest toasty whiff. Very dry on the palate, acidity taking the lead role, with a feeling of salinity and minerality on the tight, nervous palate. Just too dry, pushing it out of balance, but otherwise perfect. | 95

Simon Field | Honey and praline, nutmeg and winter spice; attractive voices, singing in harmony; the palate a little lackluster. Composed and refined, yes, but lacking a little lift, maybe. | 87

Tom Stevenson: Toasty aromas followed by big, toasty fruit on the palate. | 92
