BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Powerful, slightly austere, sincere and complex. It will certainly gain in refinement. | 94

Michael Schuster | An oaky cinnamon character on the nose— spicy! Nicely balanced, fleshy, medium-full wine, fresh in acidity, fairly fine in tannin: long and even and Margaux-restrained to taste, no excess sweetness, gently fleshy, gently complex, a little new wood-dry (the regular winemaking choice!), but with nice fragrant length. Very good, as usual recently. 2030–45+. | 90–91+
