Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | A satin texture, with fleshy fruits and spice, surrounded by high-quality tannins. | 95–96
Michael Schuster | A new-oak sample straight from the barrel. Dense, faintly raisiny ripe and oaky to smell; rich and powerful and generous, but fresh enough; ripe blackberries and plum-flavored, modest complexity, a little "hot" from its 15%, pleasing without being particularly fine, and just a bit lacking in scope; that said, a sweet, juicy, graceful wine, with a nice, long, gentle fragrance to finish, plus a touch of bitterness here. 2026–38+. | 90–91
