BUY THE WINE

Neil Beckett | The Aloxe-Corton Premier Cru Clos des Maréchaudes is exceptionally elegant and fine this vintage, but the grand cru is finer still. Luminous mid-ruby. An exotic light whiff of whte pepper and spice from the whole-bunch (but not normally more than 20% this year) and the 50% new oak. Impressive structure, seductive suavity, harmoniosu, layered, and seamless, but the focus and freshness to match the grand cru richness. | 93
