Neil Beckett | The avowed aim of adding a little more charm and fruit without any loss of elegance and finesse seems to have been successful. The produce of one of the three parcels, which generally gave more tannic wine, was sold on to a négociant in 2017, and the parcel itself rooted out in 2018, representing a loss of one third of the volume. Quite a sacrifice, but rewarded in the quality of the wine. Intense mid-ruby. A lovely fragrant nose, pure, ripe, and seductive, floral and mineral lift, roseate on top. Good fruit intensity, but perfect poise and a pleasingly silky texture thanks to the very gently extracted, perfectly ripe tannins. A graceful flourish rounds it all off in fine and persuasive style. | 93
