Neil Beckett | The other Corton in the range, Rognets, is a sumptuous, unctuous wine this year, but this Perrières is perhaps the pick of the reds this vintage, as it was in 2016; there are 6 pièces in 2017, from bought-in grapes grown near Château Corton Grancey, some of the vines 25 years old, others 90. Mid-ruby, a very elegant scent, expressive, focused, intensely floral, but a little less wild than the Rognets, with its garrigue and heather-honey notes. Equally elegant on the palate, with super-fine tannins, so that for all the precision and tension, it is flowing and silky as well. | 94
