BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Garnet to pink. Intense, mature, complex nose, with small black and red fruits, leather, tobacco leaf, and hints of tar and white truffles. Medium to full body, refined firm tannins, sweet red-fruit mid-palate, and a long, mineral finish. | 92

Stephen Brook | Lean, intense, and vibrant on the nose, with pure red fruits leaping from the glass. The attack is fine, too, with poise and vibrancy and no excessive fruitiness. Indeed, the tannins are initially dominant but will integrate soon enough. There’s spice and vigor here, and a discreet structure that should ensure a good development in bottle. The balance is admirable, and the wine retains its freshness on the long finish. | 92

Andrew Jefford | Darker garnet than many, but clear. Slightly reductive, muddled aromas; a little bit stinky at first. Hard acidity and a lack of joyfulness and naturalness on the palate, though adequately concentrated and satisfying at a basic level. Lacks aromatic resonance, too. 2018–21. | 82
