Bruno Besa | Deep garnet to pink. Youthful, mature nose with black cherries, tar, dried roses, forest floor, and oriental spices. Full body, with mature black fruit well supported by the firm tannins. Ripe, fairly long finish. | 91
Stephen Brook | The nose is sweet and slightly jammy, with generous cherry and raspberry fruit. Rounded and juicy on the palate, this has moderate concentration and supple tannins. There’s enough tannin to give some structure and grip, but overall it lacks flair and lift. It’s alarmingly forward and approachable, and the finish is abrupt. An attractive wine, but it lacks cut and persistence. | 86
Andrew Jefford | Deep and clear garnet red. Sweet, earthy- strawberry scents, with a little minty freshness. Attractive if unusual. This is vivid, rounded, warm, sweet-fruited, and generous on the palate, with a very becoming style of unusual charm. There are softer tannins than for many, and deliciously moreish, ripe acidity: a total charmer, and very hard to stop drinking once you start. It’s not the most polished, refined, and ethereal wine on the table, but that’s not always what you want. Yummy! 2018–23. | 90
