Michael Edwards: Vivid, full gold; autumnal fruit aromas; rounded and gras on the palate, not obvious complexities but good wine with no outstanding features. | 87

Simon Field: Luminous hue, then a nose of plum and almond, a touch of butter, stone fruit, and a hint of cherry stone; the palate is foursquare, stringent, verging on astringent, and uncompromising, the oaky veneer holding sway, the impressionistic floral backdrop stunned by the oaky power of the mid-palate. Vinous and precocious, this will settle with time, its sharp edges and somewhat unflattering finish to be massaged by time’s arrow. | 89

Anne Krebiechl: Golden color. The nose is open and aromatic, with buttery hints of baked pear and stone fruit that also hints at a flash of saltiness. Lively mousse on the palate reveals a pleasantly bitter edge, reminiscent of apple pip and a rounded, rich, ample but fresh palate, rich with autolysis. A rather gastronomic Champagne, with a hint of cider on the finish. Rich and round. | 93
